Wish I could have seen you IN the dress...that dress has SUCH personality, and I am sure it wants to be worn out dancing! Thanks so much for sharing the progress, then the finished dress; what a pleasure it has been to follow along. What will your next project be?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05460363573901156885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8809421228322718715.post-10253512951294926442010-09-14T20:24:37.977-07:002010-09-14T20:24:37.977-07:00Hi Naomi,
Through a day long sewing marathon and ...Hi Naomi,

Through a day long sewing marathon and skipping around Bloglandia I have stumbled into your blog. Your altered dress is beautiful and I'm just sure that you will see it between the pages of Altered Couture!! If you don't mind I would like to offer you a couple of suggestions.

It's not to late and instead of emailing or snail mailing the pics and waiting for them to get back to you. Pack up the dress all the other descriptions explanations along with a picture of the piece you altered and send the whole shebang to Beth. Trust me on this. They make their decisions to publish or not when they see the item in real life. So if you send in the pics. all they will say is sure go ahead and submit it and we'll take a look. SO get that beauty tagged, identified, wrapped up and in the mail!!!

Also meeting the deadline doesn't always mean it will come out in the issue you think. Sometimes they wait and use it in a different issue sometimes they decide to publish it in a different publication. They try to place your submissions in the best publication and issue that will show off your creation. If they choose to wait they won't exactly tell you that. You just won't hear from them until they do place it. Stampington has a couple of my things I submitted over a year ago. since I haven't gotten a rejection slip and the items back I guess they will use them "someday" :) Also I submitted a piece for one publication's challenge only to hear months later that the piece will be published in a different publication. Heck I'm thrilled to have any of my things published at all, no matter where they decide to put them! :)
So Girl what are you waiting for?? Your public awaits!!!

Pattie ;)
Mazatlan Mx.

PS Please let me know who things go!! I just know they are going to love it!!!!The Joy of Nestinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16555028211041954641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8809421228322718715.post-48037297244004374032010-09-06T13:52:22.807-07:002010-09-06T13:52:22.807-07:00We sure wish you luck...it is just beautiful...you...We sure wish you luck...it is just beautiful...you should be proud.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00602452049401656005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8809421228322718715.post-23664587732542190122010-09-06T09:48:35.478-07:002010-09-06T09:48:35.478-07:00Congrats, Naomi.
